One Health, One Earth

“One Health” is an approach to emphasize collaborative effort to protect health of people, animals and environment, which is closely interconnected. It is our common goal to leave the earth in a healthy state for future generations. “One Earth” expresses our hope that people around the world work together to protect our only Earth.

Water is a reusable resource. In fact, water is indirectly or directly reused in many parts of the world. To secure human and ecological health in the water cycle, we need to know and manage risk from various chemicals and microbes in water, e.g. unknown trace chemicals, antibiotic resistant bacteria, etc.

Environmental Risk Control Engineering Laboratory aims to develop novel water quality assessment and water treatment technologies for sustainable and safe water resource utilization.
